VIDEO: Biden proposes banning magazines that ‘can hold multiple bullets’

Former Vice President Joe Biden took what could be the most extreme position ever held by a Democratic presidential nominee, calling for a federal ban on magazines “that can hold multiple bullets.”

“The idea that we don’t have elimination of assault-type weapons (and) magazines that can hold multiple bullets in them is absolutely mindless. It is no violation of the Second Amendment,” said Biden, while speaking to reporters at an event in Cedar Rapids, Iowa.

“It is just a bow to the special interests, to the gun manufacturers,” continued Biden, repeating a popular liberal hoax that gun rights supporters are secretly paid by gunmakers.

That goes beyond what many Democrats propose in banning magazines that hold more than 10 rounds and would be among the most extreme positions ever taken by a major presidential candidate, allowing only ownership of revolvers and single-shot rifles and shotguns.

The remark came after a rambling tirade about climate, as Biden called Texas lawmakers “irrational” for allowing citizens to carry firearms.
