A New Kind of GOP Candidate and Message is Kicking Ass

When Kim Klacik, a black Republican, made her Baltimore campaign ad I thought, “This is an MTV moment.” Before MTV we all watched videos of bands playing on a stage. Then came pop videos and they got better and better and now they’re the norm for all types of music. Her video has been watched millions of times and put her on the stage at the RNC Convention – despite the fact the Maryland Republicans have never reached out to her!

Klacik’s ad (above) is fresh, bold, and sassy. And now here’s another from Oregon and I don’t think political campaign ads will ever be the same again. So cheap to make, they can pack a massive punch that gives the candidate a chance to speak from the heart without the old-school ads that alternate from black and white footage of opposition misery to full Technicolor images of the candidate’s bold new vision that most campaigns use these days.

This guy is taking on a candidate who was in office before he was even born. This nails his Establishment credentials and why Oregon needs something fresh. You might know part of his story.

Alek Skarlatos is a former Oregon National Guardsman. He attended both Air Assault School and Sniper School, achieving the rank of Specialist. He completed a nine-month deployment in Afghanistan with the US Army National Guard’s 186th Infantry Regiment, 41st Infantry Brigade Combat Team in 2015.

Alek, along with four others, stopped an armed terrorist on a Paris-bound train travelling from Amsterdam to Paris in August 2015.

In Michigan, another new face is appearing against an Establishment liberal.

John James is a young conservative Republican outsider running for U.S. Senate in Michigan. (That’s his dad in the video above!) He is a West Point graduate, combat veteran with 753.8 flight hours in combat, an Army Range & Apache pilot, a Detroit businessman, a husband, a father and a committed servant leader. He is a pro-life, pro-Second Amendment, pro-business conservative who has demonstrated energetic leadership, clarity of vision and a passion for service from the battlefield to the boardroom. John James is a proven servant leader who will help unify Washington.

Patriotic, young, different faces are bringing their A-game to the 2020 elections. Things can only get more interesting as the next few weeks heat up.
