According to Electroverse.net the year’s 2018-2019-2020 were a century-class Solar Minimum, and Earth’s atmosphere had begun to cool; so much so in fact, that by late-2020 it had all-but reversed the past few decades of “natural” global warming brought-about by historically high solar output. This cooling has only intensified into 2021.
The Sun’s output is not constant, despite what the IPCC would have you believe — its emissions are modulated by its planets (namely conjunctions of Saturn, Jupiter, Earth and Venus) due to the interacting gravitational effects, and also by internal mechanisms.
Activity has been historically low over the past few years, and its output is expected to sink even further a we progress into Solar Cycles 25 and 26.
Expect fuel prices to increase (especially as the solar and wind options crap out). Start looking at quick-fix insulation, room warming solutions and efficient bedding.
Agriculture and farming in general will take a hit. If you are not doing some prepping you’re insane. Canned veggies and beans are currently cheap and last about forever. Dried beans, pulses and rice also last a long time if stored in dry, cool places. Start buying cans of meat and cycle them through. Get some MREs.
And please, if you do nothing else, get yourself a small propane or butane portable suitcase gas stove. You can use it to make great omelettes and pancakes for now – they don’t take up much room – but when the power goes you can warm food, make drinks, prepare hot water bottles, etc. And remember to stock up on flashlights and batteries. I have them everywhere. By my bed, toilet, front door, backdoor, kitchen – everywhere. LED flashlights are cheap as chips and very powerful.
