Unreal: The Latest Hunter Biden Scandal Will Make Your Jaw DROP

On Thursday, the Washington Free Beacon reported that 950,000 barrels were sold to a CCP-owned gas company called Unipec, the trading arm of the China Petrochemical Corporation. This company is also known as Sinopec.

According to the Washington Free Beacon, “Biden’s son, Hunter Biden, is tied to Sinopec. In 2015, a private equity firm he cofounded bought a $1.7 billion stake in Sinopec Marketing. Sinopec went on to enter negotiations to purchase Gazprom in March, one month after the Biden administration sanctioned the Russian gas giant.”

These 7 Charts Show Why Congress Must Get Spending Under Control Immediately

Millions of American families are reeling from the worst wave of inflation in more than four decades. Reduced purchasing power and shortages of basic goods, such as baby formula, have caused consumer confidence to hit record lows.

Those looking to Washington for real solutions will be left wanting. Both the Biden administration and congressional Democrats are promoting tired, failed policies: more federal micromanagement, red tape, handouts to political allies, and threats of job-killing tax hikes.

When it comes to inflation, the direction elected officials take regarding federal spending is vitally important. Overspending has been a major factor behind inflation, as Capitol Hill and the Federal Reserve have dumped trillions upon trillions of dollars into the economy and sparked the inflationary fire. Yet, astonishingly enough, there are plans to add even more monetary gasoline.

The chart below demonstrates the staggering size of this irresponsibility.

From March 2020 through June 2022, the federal government added $7 trillion in debt.

To put that in perspective, the federal debt reached a total of $7 trillion in 2004, covering a span from George Washington to the first term of George W. Bush.

That means the federal government has racked up 215 years’ worth of debt in just 27 months.

While some amount of deficit spending might have been hard to avoid during the worst of the COVID-19 pandemic, Washington kept breaking out the credit card to continue an unnecessary and wasteful spending spree, oversaturating the economy and making inflation problems inevitable.

While the absolute amount of debt is important, a more important figure over the long term is the amount of debt relative to the size of the economy. As the chart above shows, that measure is also going in the wrong direction.

The federal government only reached this amount of debt once—following a combination of the longest economic downturn and the greatest military struggle in history.

Though the nation has faced challenges in recent years, none reach the magnitude of World War II or the Great Depression, meaning there’s no excuse for adding so much debt so quickly.

Vitally, in the aftermath of World War II, federal spending as a share of the economy contracted from 41% in 1945 to 11.4% in 1948, making it easier to pay down the debt.

The Biden administration, ignoring this history, is planning just the opposite; namely, more spending, more debt, and more concentrated power for the Washington swamp.

The next chart reveals exactly how reckless President Joe Biden’s big government budgeting is.

The size of annual deficits and the total accumulated debt is already astronomical. Unfortunately, those massive amounts pale in comparison to unfunded liabilities facing Social Security and Medicare. Spending on both programs has been growing faster than the economy for decades, and is expected to continue to grow indefinitely, making them unsustainable.

There are no easy solutions to addressing these programs. However, one fact is beyond dispute: The longer Congress waits to implement reforms, the harder the choices will become.

Congress has made it easier for members to ignore the mounting problem of unfunded benefit programs by making them “mandatory,” meaning the spending occurs year after year, regardless of whether legislators pass bills or even bother with budgets. As the chart above shows, mandatory spending is now dominant.

The amount of federal spending that occurs automatically has steadily increased over the past century and is expected to keep growing in the future. Yet this is exactly the spending that’s growing fastest; meaning, it should receive more attention, not less.

Despite this stark reality, some members of Congress think we need to move even further in this direction. For example, two House Democrats have introduced the People Over Pentagon Act to reduce spending on national defense by $100 billion.

The charts above and below refute the premise behind such messaging. Not only is national defense no longer the dominant aspect of federal spending, but it’s also quickly becoming an afterthought. The idea that Washington is doing too little to redistribute wealth flies in the face of reality.

Viewed in terms of dollars, the rapid growth of nondefense spending becomes even clearer. Congress has added hundreds of programs to the federal ledger over the past century, most of which receive spending increases every year.

Yet the left’s appetite for taxpayer-funded resources shows no sign of being sated. Activists want “Medicare for All,” a Green New Deal, massive forgiveness of college loans, and monthly checks, even though we can’t afford the bloated federal government we have today.

While the likes of socialist independent Sen. Bernie Sanders of Vermont claim that all of this would be possible if Uncle Sam shook down the wealthy, the math simply doesn’t add up. The only way to pay for a substantially larger government would be through substantially higher taxes on the middle class, which is commonplace across Europe.

The largest federal spending category is health care. The resources devoted to Medicare, Medicaid, Obamacare subsidies, and more are a driving force behind long-term budget imbalances and are part of the reason why medical costs had above-average inflation before the current crisis.

Congress can prevent health care spending growth from bankrupting the country by reforming Medicare in a way that promotes more choices and lower costs for beneficiaries.

From today’s inflation to tomorrow’s mounting deficits, America faces stiff headwinds. Yet, there’s still time to address these challenges and remain the greatest nation in the world if our citizens and leaders are willing to recognize the problems and make tough decisions.

Not starting next year, or when one side has a firm governing majority. Starting now.

Biden Admin flying illegal minors from this Border state to pro-Roe destinations

Biden officials are exploring ways to provide abortion access for pregnant women and girls in U.S. immigration custody in states with bans, four U.S. officials who requested anonymity to discuss the government plans told Reuters.

Many federal shelters for unaccompanied children apprehended at the U.S.-Mexico border are located in Texas, where a Republican-backed law that went into effect in September banned abortions at six weeks.

For the past nine months, U.S. health officials have been flying or driving minors from Texas shelters to other states for abortions. Advocates say more guidance is needed now, and fast. Reuters

This is our government paying for abortions. Abortions that a significant majority of Americans are against. A Harvard-CAPS poll this week found that 72% of Americans think abortion should be allowed only until the 15th week of pregnancy. Moreover, the 15-week threshold has bipartisan support from a majority of Democrats, Republicans, and independents.

Among Democrats, 60 percent believe abortion should be prohibited after the 15th week. In addition, 84 percent of Republicans and 70 percent of independents believe the same.

Further, A majority of both genders agree with the 15-week cut-off date for abortion. Seventy-five percent of women support the 15-week cut-off, which is near the 69 percent of men who also agree with that timeline.

Harvard’s Center for American Political Studies polled 1,308 American voters from June 28 to June 29, just days after the U.S. Supreme Court overturned the landmark abortion case Roe v. Wade and sent the issue back to state legislatures.

Here is the entire survey which also reveals how voters feel about the economy and the direction of the government. The question: Should Biden run again got an astonishing 71% No vote!

Hilarious self-own by weapons “expert”!

The AR-15 is the most customizable weapon platform on the market. You can either buy a complete stock rifle or custom build your own from the ground up. Whether you want to build an AR-15, or upgrade your stock configuration, it is important to have a thorough knowledge of its parts. You also need to know what kinds of accessories are out there as this will allow you to customize your weapon to the configuration that you want. I have included a great little video for all of you guys who are thinking about acquiring one and would like to see how it’s put together.

But as an aside, there’s been a bit of back and forth over in the cesspit that is Twitter and it’s hilarious!

So how well do you know your rifle? Let’s take a look at the parts that make up your formidable AR-15.

Word Salad Kween

Joe Biden has never been eloquent but he used to be able to string a few words together so you knew he was completely wrong on everything. But his vice-president is so inarticulate that she is incomprehensible. We’ve gathered together some of our favorite examples of her Word Salad moments.

Here she is at Highland Park, Illinois, following the tragic shooting that took place there on Independence Day.

She met with the prime minister of Jamaica. The two talked about COVID-19 before Harris addressed the media.

“For Jamaica, one of the issues that has been presented as an issue that is economic in the way its impact has been the pandemic. … We will assist Jamaica in COVID recovery by assisting in terms of the recovery efforts in Jamaica that have been essential,” she told reporters after the meeting.

She went into a library in Louisiana and said this:

“We were all doing a tour of the library here and talking about the significance of the passage of time, right?” Harris said while promoting internet access in rural areas. “The significance of the passage of time. So when you think about it, there is great significance to passage of time. There is such great significance to the passage of time when you think of a day in the life of our children.”

And this was another stand out from a woman who by all accounts passed the bar to become an attorney. During an appearance on the syndicated “Morning Hustle” radio program, Harris was asked by co-host Headkrack to explain the conflict “in layman’s terms for people who don’t understand what’s going on and how can this directly affect the people of the United States?”

Speaking slowly, Harris began, “So, Ukraine is a country in Europe. It exists next to another country called Russia,” she continued. “Russia is a bigger country. Russia is a powerful country. Russia decided to invade a smaller country called Ukraine. So, basically, that’s wrong, and it goes against everything that we stand for.”

And this classic on Covid strategy:

Not content with looking like an idiot here, she went to France and said this “We must, together, work together to see where we are, where we are headed, where we are going and our vision for where we should be, but also see it as a moment, yes, to, together, address the challenges.

When asked about cutting off oil imports from Russia:

As you know, on this issue, for example, we applaud Germany in terms of what it has done as it relates to Nord Stream 2,” Harris said. “As it relates to what we need to do domestically as well as what we need to do in terms of this issue generally, we have, as the president said, to reevaluate what we’re doing in terms of strategic oil reserves here in the United States to make sure that it will not have an impact, or we can mitigate the impact on the American consumer.”

And when asked whether President Biden was considering banning Russian energy imports, noting that the United States still imports approximately 600,000 barrels of oil per day she blathered some more.

Pilot Shortages: Let Baby Boomers Fly

by Rick Manning

Remember the mandate to fire anyone who wouldn’t be coerced into getting vaccinated craze that consumed much of the first year of the Biden presidency?

Joe Biden is really hoping that you won’t.

Airline disruptions and cancellations are part of the ongoing “supply chain” crisis which is playing havoc with the U.S. and world economy. Sure would be nice to have some of those pilots, flight attendants and ground crew back at the airports now, wouldn’t it?  United Airlines alone claimed that 2,200 workers who received religious or medical exemptions from the vaccine would be placed on administrative leave or put into roles which did not touch customers.

What isn’t known is how many pilots and others retired prior to the mandatory age of 65 due to the threat of vaccination-based firing?  After all, hanging onto your job with the hope that sanity would be restored makes little sense when your retirement pension could be lost if you were fired for cause.

How many pilots left the not-so-friendly skies is unclear.  What is apparent is that currently, pilot shortages are being cited as a reason why thousands of flights are being cancelled.

How much of this labor shortage is a direct result of Biden’s vaccine mandates and the airline industry’s reliance on the federal government to stay in business during the pandemic is not certain.  What is certain is that government mandated firing of pilots, crew and ground personnel over their vaccination status contributed to the chaos we are witnessing.

What we do know is that according to a report by Cowen and Company, airline pilot retirements are projected to accelerate through the mid-2020’s with 24.7 percent of pilots subjected to mandatory retirements between 2022 and 2026.  These 13,000 forced retirements is up about 70 percent from the previous five years as baby boomers age out of the cockpit.

Looking forward, one obvious way to stave off this retirement age mandated shortage would be for Congress to raise the retirement mandate by two years to age 67, allowing those pilots who retain their competency to continue to work.

The Air Line Pilots Association (ALPA) claimed in a June 23, 2022 letter to Secretary of Homeland Security Alejandro Majorkas objecting to Spirit Airlines request for special visas to recruit airline pilots from Australia that there are “1.5 pilots available for every airline pilot job” in the U.S., calling the pilot shortage “fiction.”

One thing is abundantly clear.  Planes are flying full, flights have been cancelled or delayed, and routes eliminated due to crew shortages that are prevalent.  On June 16th, ALPA member pilots of Delta Air Lines wrote in an open letter to passengers that they are currently working a record amount of overtime claiming that by the fall they will, “have flown more overtime in 2022 than in the entirety of 2018 and 2019 combined, our busiest years to date.”

It seems obvious that the quickest short-term solution to the dearth of pilots is to incentivize those who retired early to return and extend the mandatory retirement age.  While various labor/management issues can be worked out to deal with questions about bringing in qualified pilots from around the world, ending the mandatory retirement for more than 2,000 pilots in 2022 would seem the most honest and reasonable immediate fix.

Heck, the airlines might even get on bended knee and beg those who were fired or put on the back bench due to vaccine mandates to come back to the front lines to work – vaccinations optional.

What is the Liberal World Order?

There’s an interesting history of what we have traditionally known as the Liberal World Order online at the Army War College. It traces the rise of leftist progressive values from Woodrow Wilson to Clinton and Bush – all dressed up as classically liberal values. Here’s the gist of it.

“The rise of the liberal world order is connected to the rise of the United States in the international system. This development occurred in three phases. The first phase occurred between 1917 and 1945, during which the United States emerged as a world power. The second phase from 1945 to 1991 occurred as the United States stood as one of two superpowers. The third phase began in 1991 and continues to today, where the United States stands as the world’s sole superpower and supporter of the liberal world order. In each phase, the historical environment and policymakers’ desires directly shaped the emerging world order; as the system changed, and the order was challenged, policymakers were forced to respond to buttress it. Creating and maintaining the liberal world order was an active project.”

Looking at each phase, it is possible to trace the rising status of the United States internationally and its promotion of policies and institutions that created the liberal world order. During phase one, President Woodrow Wilson’s efforts during World War I promoted collective security, democratic self-determination, free and open trade; meanwhile international institutions introduced liberal internationalist ideas into the system...

…President Franklin D. Roosevelt renewed many of Wilson’s ideas during World War II. Roosevelt’s Atlantic Charter mirrored the main tenets of Wilson’s Fourteen Points...These policies included the creation of the United Nations, the Bretton Woods agreement that created the International Monetary Fund, the International Bank for Reconstruction and Development (eventually part of the World Bank), and the General Agreement on Tariffs and Trade (succeeded by the World Trade Organization).

Phase two occurred during the Cold War, and during this period the US established a regional liberal order focused on Western Europe, the South Pacific, and the Western Hemisphere. The United States created the regional liberal order to defend itself and its allies from communism.

Phase three saw the emergence of a global liberal world order beginning in 1991. The Soviet Union’s collapse eliminated the sole competitor to the US ideological order, the Soviet collapse was reinforced with the US having the world’s most powerful country economically, diplomatically, and militarily. This meant the post-Cold War system was a US-led ideological order founded on the United States’ position as the unipole. During this phase, Presidents George H.W. Bush and William J. Clinton implemented policies that promoted liberal internationalist ideas globally setting the foundation for further liberal internationalist policies by their successors.

Now

The problem with these grandiose plans to shape the world is that opportunists will try to seize power. Russia is busy rebuilding itself as an empire with powerful friends in China. Europe is sinking under the weight of its woke politicians, obsession with climate, the demise of its industrial base and its shrinking indigenous population. The USA is suffering from third generation liberal guilt and these influential elites hate the country that made them and push ever more extreme progressive opinions on huge swathes of our impressionable and ill-educated masses, who are indoctrinated in thought camps known as colleges.

The United Nations is corrupt, the WHO is incompetent, UNICEF protects child rapists, the World Bank is a boondoggle, and – as always – festering away at the heart of all these plans is the vast network of Klauss Schwab’s evil empire: The World Economic Forum and its Davos elites.

So, while Joe Biden might think he’s protecting the old progressive values of America the Superpower, he is in fact driving us rapidly down the charts into third-world territory. He’s just pushing the woke bullshit that the WEF passes off as an intellectual political agenda. And he doesn’t give a damn. Because he and his family are doing just fine.

The New World Order – Wikipedia

The New World Order (NWO) is a conspiracy theory which hypothesizes a secretly emerging totalitarian world government.

The common theme in conspiracy theories about a New World Order is that a secretive power elite with a globalist agenda is conspiring to eventually rule the world through an authoritarian one-world government—which will replace sovereign nation-states—and an all-encompassing propaganda whose ideology hails the establishment of the New World Order as the culmination of history’s progress. Many influential historical and contemporary figures have therefore been alleged to be part of a cabal that operates through many front organizationsto orchestrate significant political and financial events, ranging from causing systemic crises to pushing through controversial policies, at both national and international levels, as steps in an ongoing plot to achieve world domination.

Before the early 1990s, New World Order conspiracism was limited to two American countercultures, primarily the militantly anti-government right, and secondarily the part of fundamentalist Christianity concerned with the end-time emergence of the Antichrist. Skeptics, such as Michael Barkun and Chip Berlet, observed that right-wing populist conspiracy theories about a New World Order had not only been embraced by many seekers of stigmatized knowledge but had seeped into popular culture, thereby inaugurating a period during the late 20th and early 21st centuries in the United States where people are actively preparing for apocalyptic millenarian scenarios. Those political scientists are concerned that mass hysteria over New World Order conspiracy theories could eventually have devastating effects on American political life, ranging from escalating lone-wolf terrorism to the rise to power of authoritarian ultranationalist demagogues.

During the 20th century, political figures such as Woodrow Wilson and Winston Churchill used the term “new world order” to refer to a new period of history characterized by a dramatic change in world political thought and in the global balance of power after World War I and World War II. The interwar and post-World War II period were seen as opportunities to implement idealistic proposals for global governance by collective efforts to address worldwide problems that go beyond the capacity of individual nation-states to resolve, while nevertheless respecting the right of nations to self-determination

Such collective initiatives manifested in the formation of intergovernmental organizations such as the League of Nations in 1920, the United Nations (UN) in 1945, and the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) in 1949, along with international regimes such as the Bretton Woods system and the General Agreement on Tariffs and Trade (GATT), implemented to maintain a cooperative balance of power and facilitate reconciliation between nations to prevent the prospect of another global conflict

Holland is #2 ag exporter in world. But now the Dutch Government is SHOOTING farmers!

You read about the irate protests by Dutch farmers, inspired by the Canadian truckers’ protests in Ottawa, here. Now they are escalating – and their wrath is garnering support across the world.

They are protesting against the government’s far-reaching and insane (this usually implies the WEF was behind it) plans to cut nitrogen emissions. In one of their largest-ever demonstrations, the farmers demanded the scrapping of recently announced plans by the Hague-based government to reduce these emissions, which could see a 30 percent reduction in livestock.

The Netherlands, the world’s second-largest agricultural exporter, is one of the top greenhouse gas emitters in Europe — especially of nitrogen — with much of this blamed on cattle-produced manure and fertiliser. Naturally they are taking on the new enemy of the New World Order – the farmers. They hate people that control things they can’t. Over the past three decades, farmers have been persecuted under the guise of ecology and conservation when in reality these people are the natural protectors of our lands and resources.

The Dutch government was surprisingly honest about their treachery: “The honest message is that not all farmers can continue their business.”

You can’t just close farms that are hundreds of years old. You just can’t!” – Netherlands citizen.

Right now, food shortages are now hitting the supermarket shelves. And the police are getting violent. Which is what happens in countries, formerly tolerant, which are now run by unelected bureaucrats who don’t like dissent.

Why are we selling American AI mil-tech to China?

Researchers combed through more than 66,000 publicly available Peoples Liberation Army purchase records throughout the eight-month period from April to November 2020 and identified 97 unique, high-end artificial intelligence (AI) chips ordered by the PLA. Nearly all of them were designed by U.S. firms Nvidia, Xilinx (now AMD), Intel, and Microsemi.

The CSET report reveals that China is progressing toward its goal of becoming a global powerhouse in artificial intelligence by 2030, thanks to chips developed by U.S. companies.

The Chinese military’s progress in artificial intelligence largely depends on continued access to high-end semiconductors. By analyzing thousands of purchasing records, the policy brief (below) offers a detailed look at how China’s military comes to access these devices. The authors find that most computer chips ordered by Chinese military units are designed by American companies, and outline steps that the U.S. government could/should take to curtail their access.

The Report

Deadliest border in the World? No, it’s not in Afghanistan.

Afghanistan, Iran, China, North Korea, Venezuela, and Columbia have safer borders than President Joe Biden’s border. According to the United Nations group, the International Organization for Migration (IOM) our border with Mexico is the most lethal land crossing in the world.

Why is China Buying Up US Land Here?

The debate over a corn milling plant to be built in Grand Forks, ND, just a few miles from the USAF drone base at Minot, has been brewing for a while now. One side argues that just because the company, Fufeng USA, is Chinese doesn’t mean anything sinister. The other side views it with deep suspicion, an impact of an adversary buying up land and staking a position inside our country.

This man, Ross Kennedy or Huntsman on Twitter, has been warning about the dangers of allowing Chinese embeds in Grand Forks for the best part of a year. He has visited the town to warn the locals of the dangers and how their leaders are being bribed and manipulated.

The Threat

  • Chinese food manufacturer Fufeng Group bought 300 acres of land near Grand Forks, North Dakota, to set up a milling plant.
  • The project is located about 20 minutes from the Grand Forks Air Force Base, raising national security concerns.
  • Both the Democratic chairman and the Republican ranking member of the Senate Intelligence Committee told CNBC they are opposed to the project.

Chinese leaders and American lawmakers, both independently, have been talking for years about China’s plan to destroy our country on an economic, geopolitical, and military level. So why then would the United States ever want to do business with Communist China?

In a 10-part BEK TV special report, hosted by Lori Hinz, “China Conquest: Inside Job”, learn why national security experts are concerned about the methods in which China is using to infiltrate their way into America. Explore high-level activity that our nation’s top officials have known about for years, to newer, lower-level subnational exchanges taking place in America’s heartland.

Find out how the Chinese are now using a multi-faceted approach to target Governors, state lawmakers, mayors, city council members and local business owners. Explore examples of the Chinese making their way into small-town America.

In this special report, BEK TV provides information that the country’s complacent media are afraid to report. BEK TV uncovers the truth, gives examples, credits countless sources, and makes connections that will leave you asking more questions. China Conquest: Inside Job” exposes the ways that China is slowly accomplishing their goal of becoming a world superpower.

Part 1 – An introduction to subnational exchanges and how China is working under the radar to gain control. Learn about the Chinese-owned Fufeng corn processing plant that Grand Forks, ND city officials want built in their city and about the Dickinson State University, ND diploma mill scandal.

Part 2 – A further exploration of the Fufeng project and how China is going about their subnational influence in Grand Forks, ND. Plus, the seriousness of subnational influences on a national level.

Part 3 – The history of the U.S.-China relationship and how we got to where we are today. This episode begins with President Nixon, and how he may have opened the door for China.

Part 4 – U.S. cooperation with China from the start of the 21st century into the George W. Bush administration.

Part 5 – BEK News picks up with President George W. Bush’s second term, 2007 time period, and explores Subnational Exchanges with China during that time period into President Obama’s rise to power, particularly by focusing on a bi-partisan group of powerful state leaders from around the country, the State Legislative Leaders Foundation (SLLF). The group has strong ties to First Son Hunter Biden’s controversial foreign business dealings scandal. BEK News also uncovered a Hunter Biden laptop email which directly links SLLF, the nonprofit itself, not just associated individuals, to the Hunter Biden scandal.

Part 6 – BEK News continues to explore the U.S.-China relationship from the end of President George W. Bush’s administration into the first year of President Obama’s administration.

Part 7 – BEK News begins by exploring President Obama’s new foreign policy approach to China, beginning with President Obama’s historic first official State Visit, through January 2012, as President Obama’s approach to China began changing as he neared re-election. At the same time, Subnational Exchanges with China continued seemingly unaffected. U.S. Governors and Mayors even ramped up their efforts to court China. Or was it the other way around?

Part 8 – BEK News provides a deep examination of Dickinson State University’s February 2012 diploma mill scandal that involved hundreds of Chinese students. Sources claim there was a cover-up. So BEK News sorts viewers through it all. BEK News also explores the Obama Administration’s activities with China at the time of the DSU scandal, up to the end of his second term in 2016.

Part 9 – President Trump comes to town and shakes up the U.S.-China relationship in ways never seen. Particularly at Subnational levels. And serious concerns grow over a rising China. BEK News explores the Trump Administration time period from 2017 to 2021.

Part 10 – President Biden assumes power and rolls back some of the prior administration’s initiatives with China, while sticking with some. But China is creating waves on the world stage, especially with respect to its handling of Russia’s war in Ukraine. The U.S.-China relationship time period covered here is from 2021-present.

America’s Enemies Hold Military Exercises in Hostile South American Country

Iran, Russia, and China are setting the stage for a series of joint military drills in Latin America, and Venezuela is set to host the drills on its soil in August. Russia, China, and Iran will move their militaries into the Western Hemisphere for war drills that will “preposition forward-deployed military assets in Latin America and the Caribbean.” It’s a big sign that they are unafraid of America under Biden as it demonstrates the ease with which they could threaten the USA from its soft underbelly along our border.

All dressed up as part of the International Army Games, which will take place August 13 – 27, the Latin American nation will be the scene of one of the 36 competitions, including the Sniper Frontier Games which will be held in the military fort of Terepaima, in the state of Lara. It’s usually just an international tournament but this year smells different. These Olympic style military competitions consist of army soldiers from Russia, China, Iran, Myanmar, Venezuela, Syria & Belarus. It also doubles as an international arms market for Russian arms.

The Bolivarian National Armed Forces (FANB) will host the Sniper Border Games for the first time. Right in America’s backyard. Russia is bringing a military contingent to participate while fighting a war with Ukraine.

237 teams from 31 countries have so far confirmed their participation. Colonel-General Ivan Buvaltsev noted: “The 2022 Army International Games will be held from 13 to 27 August. During the games, it is planned to hold 36 international competitions with the maximum expansion of the geography of their holding to 15 countries. Invitations to participate in Army Games 2022 were sent to military departments of about 100 countries.

The Organizing Committee of Army Games 2022 expects that at least 300 teams will take part in the competition next year. Among the competitions proposed for next year were two new ones: the competition of railway troops units “Steel Highway” and the competition among ammunition transportation teams “Special Dash”.

The VRIC nations are getting ready to make a loud statement that the region is ready to embrace the multipolar force,” the report further added. In fact, the war drills are one of the starkest signs to date that Latin America’s coalition of anti-U.S. regimes is working to boost relations with Russia, China, and Iran.

At a press conference in Moscow, after Russia had hosted Venezuelan Foreign Minister Carlos Faria, Lavrov declared that “we know how determined the Americans and their allies were and still are to undermine the Venezuelan economy. We can already see that these plans will not succeed. The Venezuelan economy is demonstrating the ability to withstand this pressure. Of course, we will help it in any way we can.”

Remember Vladimir Putin’s speech in St. Petersburg on June 17 at the International Economic Forum that we covered?

“A year and half ago, speaking at the Davos forum, I once again emphasized that the era of the unipolar world order is over…. despite all of the attempts to save it, to preserve it by any means possible. When they won the Cold War, the US declared themselves God’s own representatives on earth, people who have no responsibilities — only interests. They seemingly have not noticed that new powerful centers have arisen and are getting louder and louder.

Biden’s Fairy-Tale View of Land Mines Threatens the Lives of Our Armed Forces

The Biden administration last week announced it would dramatically limit the use of anti-personnel land mines by U.S. forces and destroy the entire U.S. inventory of such land mines, except for a limited number associated with defending South Korea.

Although the decision no doubt will be welcomed by the more progressive elements of the president’s party, experts know that this blatant virtue signaling not only could cause the unnecessary deaths of U.S. military personnel, but defeat in battle.

Despite military leaders’ repeated testimony that such land mines represent a useful military capability, the White House seemingly chose political expediency over warfighting.

Why else would President Joe Biden appear to place so little value on the lives of the men and women serving in our military? It seems no one in the White House has the ability, or perhaps desire, to differentiate the rightness of America’s defending itself and rendering assistance to friends facing the predatory behavior of Russia or Iran or China.

The Biden administration correctly notes that other countries have used land mines in reckless ways that harm civilian populations and pose threats to local communities long after a conflict has ended. But to imply that U.S. forces operate just as irresponsibly is insulting.

Again, as noted by the administration, the U.S. should take pride in the assistance provided to others around the world in humanitarian demining efforts. It is the right thing to do.

But it is a tragic mistake to say that, because mines have caused problems in other settings, U.S. forces should not be allowed to use mines to protect themselves and make it harder, rather than easier, for an enemy to prevail.

This is like saying that because criminals use weapons to commit crimes, police should be disarmed to set the example that leads us to a gun-free world. The whole notion is absurd.

In saying that the U.S. will align its policy with that of other countries forswearing the use of mines, Biden effectively has placed the nation on the same footing as Palau, Liechtenstein, and Cape Verde, all signatories to the Ottawa Convention.

This ignores the fact that America has vastly different interests and obligations, and that U.S. forces should be equipped to serve them accordingly. Russia, China, and Iran, which are not signatories, meanwhile are arming themselves to the teeth and repeatedly have shown little regard for the responsible use of the tools of war.

The framers of this policy appear to assume that the U.S. never will be in a war where there is a need to deny key terrain or routes to the enemy. Anti-personnel land mines force an enemy to slow down, thus giving friendly forces time to react.

These mines can overcome a relative lack of forces on the part of the U.S. by forcing an enemy off certain routes and areas. They simplify the dispersion of U.S. forces, enabling a smaller contingent to control a larger area and preventing it from being overwhelmed by an enemy that otherwise would be able to attack from many different directions.

Do the mines pose dangers post-conflict? Yes, but no different than any battlefield littered with the debris of unexploded ordnance from mortars, artillery, rockets, bombs, grenades, and missiles that did not perform as designed. This is an ugly aspect of war.

Another ugly reality is that war demands tools that kill the enemy while preserving one’s own people and combat power. Does anyone doubt that the Ukrainians want to have as many tools as possible to frustrate Russian advances across their country? They willingly will shoulder the burden of removing mines and other dangerous remnants of war once they have defeated the enemy trying to destroy them.

Biden’s policy to “not develop, produce, or acquire” anti-personnel land mines means that U.S. forces will not have this capability when the next war comes along—as history, unfortunately, suggests it will. Prohibiting the use of this capability is akin to fighting with one arm behind your back.

It also follows a troubling pattern in which this administration seemingly places more emphasis in the areas of climate changediversity and equity, and extremist witch hunts than actual warfighting capability.

Biden effectively is sacrificing our men and women on the altar of progressive fantasy on the false premise that our enemies will observe the niceties of proper conduct on the next battlefield.

Good luck with that idea.

In short, the Biden plan to destroy America’s inventory of mines and to renounce their use will place our military in the greatest danger at the time of greatest need.

25% of federal bureaucrats at HHS FAILED to do this in pandemic

By Rick Manning

The Washington Free Beacon reported last month that during the crucial first ten months of the pandemic from March to December 2020, approximately twenty-five percent of the employees at the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services failed to log-in to the office suite which includes their email accounts even once.

One quarter of the employees at the very federal agency which America depended upon to do its job as the White House scrambled to meet the COVID challenge, never bothered to check their emails.

At the same time, while unemployment soared from 3.5 to 14.7 percent for private sector employees from February to April 2020 due to the pandemic, the Department responsible for our nation’s Health and Human Services policy had at least 25 percent of its bureaucrats AWOL.

They cashed their paychecks.  They just didn’t do anything else.

We know this because Brian Harrison, who served as the Chief of Staff for HHS during the last year of the Trump administration did his job.  He commissioned a report on daily employee activity at HHS, which was delivered in the waning weeks of the administration.

Subsequently, the Biden administration has dramatically expanded the expectation of federal employees that they should work from home and believe it or not, many federal agencies still have not returned to work unlike the rest of America.

The public employee union owned House of Representatives run by Speaker Nancy Pelosi is now busily trying to normalize “work from home” by passing legislation forcing any administration to notify Congress of changes by the Office of Personnel Management to get bureaucrats back into their offices.

New Mexico Republican House member Yvette Harrell has other ideas having introduced legislation to return federal work from home policies to those in place prior to the pandemic to determine the impact of what are apparently ‘don’t ask, don’t tell’ civil service attendance procedures.

Given the challenges for GOP members in getting even the most reasonable legislation passed into law with a Democrat Congress and president, it should be a non-negotiable requirement in the upcoming appropriations bills that the federal workforce should not be funded without a full audit of every employee’s computer usage, their annual performance ratings, raises and other compensation, along with other performance metrics for the past three years.

Americans deserve to know how many of those they have been paying in the federal bureaucracy have been little more than no-shows, and in fairness what percentage of the civil service has worked long and hard to meet our nation’s needs during this unparalleled time.

f, as is reasonable to assume, the HHS failure to check email percentage holds to the rest of the federal workforce, it would mean that more than 500,000 people simply pocketed their paychecks without doing anything whatsoever to earn them.  Federal employment figures show that at the end of the federal fiscal year for 2020, the average employee was paid just over $90,000 a year, meaning taxpayers paid about $37 billion in salary (not counting health care and extremely generous retirement benefits) between March and December of 2020 to those who never checked in.

Recognizing that logging into your company email system one-time over the course of a ten-month period is a pretty-low bar, it is imperative for Congress to force a full accounting as soon as possible to learn exactly which positions are “non-essential” based upon the verifiable action of those who currently hold them.

Dutch Farmers Tell Government to Stop With The Idiocy – Dump Manure on Gov Offices

Food Innovation Hubs (FUBs) are being set up all over the world for the “transformation of food systems”. In November 2020, the World Economic Forum announced that the European Food Innovation Hub will be located in Wageningen, in the Netherlands.

Prime Minister Rutte announced last year that his country would invest in the Global Coordinating Secretariat of the Food Innovation Hubs. This secretariat will also operate from Wageningen.

But why do we need these centers? WEF, no less. Under the guise of ‘fair prices for farmers’, (good) citizens are made dependent on the WEF for their food supply.

This how the WEF describes the hubs:

Worldwide, nearly 2 billion people lack access to sufficient, nutritious and safe food and 690 million people suffer from chronic hunger or lack of proper nutrition. Current food system needs to produce much more food, whilst already now planetary boundaries are being crossed. The Food Innovation Hubs initiative catalyzed by the World Economic Forum with public, private and civil society partners is a call to action for a locally driven program, enabling innovations to sustainably improve the way we produce and consume food, through an eco-systems approach.

Our food systems must become more sustainable, efficient, inclusive, and deliver more nutritious and healthy food. Innovations that can help transform our food systems are often already out there. Unfortunately, the adoption and scale-up of innovations in the agri-food sector lags behind other sectors. Collaboration between the different stakeholders, who are working from ‘farm to fork’ is key.

That is why World Economic Forum and partners have initiated Food Innovation Hubs across the globe. Food Innovation Hubs are a multistakeholder, precompetitive and market-based partnership platform aimed at strengthening local innovation ecosystems to sustainably scale innovative solutions for food systems transformation.

What they actually mean (I paraphrase):

We will dictate how, how much, where and when you will grow crops and we will decide how they are distributed. We are particularly spun up over nitrogen because sometimes it gets in waterways and causes temporary problems like impacts on drinking water, ecosystem shifts, algal blooms, with some effects on the local economy and potentially human and animal health.

They got the EU to go along with their madness. As with most western political entities it is infested with WEF alumni.

The Dutch government was surprisingly honest about their treachery: “The honest message is that not all farmers can continue their business.” So, some very pissed off farmers showed up at the Minister for Nitrogen and Nature Policy’s (it’s a thing) offices and sprayed manure on them. It was a massive demonstration and follows in the wake of another in Pakistan. Maybe, slowly the first and second worlds are waking up to the fact the WEF is not a good thing for them. The WEF’s dressing up of their greed and lust for power in a message of “protection” for the Earth is beginning to wear thin. And the people most affected are beginning to fight back.

Oh, and it’s happening here. Cue the useful idiots and WEF alums…

The Water Environment Federation (WEF), in collaboration with the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), has launched the NutrientSmart (NSmart) program to help reduce nutrient loadings in waterways and recognize the water utilities that are leaders and innovators.

NSmart will begin as a pilot program and encourage the adoption of enhanced nutrient management practices by water utilities and distribute information on tools and methods for lowering nutrients. More here…

Pathetically Predictable Philly Gunman – Wore dress, was known to police and was online encouraging violence

The vile and tragic events of the Independence Day march at Highland Park, IL will be twisted by both sides of the gun control debate to prove some theoretical point or other. But maybe, as the person below on Twitter suggests, the truth is simpler. Crimo is just another messed up kid from a fatherless home who allowed drugs and an undisciplined upbringing to completely destroy his mind. He is a new and troubling American story. One we need to address promptly. Not by taking rights from people who commit no crimes, but by restoring the notion of good and bad and instilling it in our children. The slide into moral relativism and “there is no wrong thinking” is slowly eating the guts our of the American Way.

We must stop it at its roots – in schools and homes – and if necessary through a mental institution. It’s time to bring back the asylum, or whatever pretty expression we use, to keep dangerously deranged people out of the way of society.

Not political – just sick

Biden’s Solar Scam Will Help Enemy

President Joe Biden is pushing irresponsibly for a rapid, government-mandated transition to a society powered by wind and solar energy.

When it comes to energy policy, President Joe Biden has become a master of doing the wrong things for the wrong reasons. His policies on solar panel production and imports are prime examples.

Everyone agrees that we ought to be good stewards of the planet. That’s why it’s critical that we get energy and environmental policies right. Unfortunately, Biden hasn’t.

Instead, Biden is pushing for a rapid, government-mandated transition to a society powered by wind and solar energy that he promises will deliver zero greenhouse gas emissions. That is neither responsible nor reasonable.

Rather, it is a political fantasy agenda that will reduce access to reliable, affordable energy, damage our economy, harm the environment, and undermine our security program.

Striving to satisfy green activists, the White House recently proposed two new initiatives to jump-start solar power adoption.

The first involved a novel application of the Defense Production Act, a law that allows the president to require businesses to accept and prioritize contracts for materials deemed necessary for national defense or to respond to natural or man-made disasters.

Former President Donald Trump invoked the act to provide critical medical supplies and spur domestic manufacturing to respond to the COVID-19 pandemic, a real emergency. Now, Biden has invoked the act to force businesses to increase production of solar panel components to avoid “severely impair[ing] national defense capability.” Last we checked, American battle tanks, aircraft, and warships don’t run on solar panels.

Biden’s anti-fossil fuel policies have sent oil and gas prices skyrocketing and caused the U.S. to lose its strategic advantage of being a dominant global energy exporter. Those are real national security issues that impair our defense capability. But forced solar panel production will do nothing to meaningfully address those problems. It will also have no noticeable effect on global temperatures, another false pretext for invoking emergency powers.

What we have, instead, is a phony emergency declaration designed to prop up solar energy use that U.S. consumers reject as inferior. That’s not just wasteful and inappropriate; that initiation is harmful to the paychecks and livelihoods of everyday Americans. Biden’s move will add yet more policy distortions to an energy market already twisted beyond recognition by government mandates, protectionism, and cronyism.

In using the Defense Production Act to bail out domestic solar manufacturers, the president clearly abused his limited special authority to pursue a political crusade. But it gets worse.

At the same time Biden invoked that act, he also ordered a two-year pause on new tariffs on solar panels that could be coming from China—ostensibly because U.S. companies won’t be able to keep up with the wholly artificial demand for panels created by his decree.

Tariffs were implemented 10 years ago to protect Americans from China’s malicious efforts to undercut the U.S. solar power industry by flooding the market with cheap products. The Commerce Department is currently investigating complaints that Chinese solar panel producers have evaded the tariffs by shipping effectively completed versions of their panels to third countries, where they are trivially assembled and shipped to America tariff-free—a ruse known as “transshipping.”

But with Biden’s tariff moratorium, even if violations of U.S. trade laws are proved, China won’t have to pay any of the unpaid tariffs.

While being able to shop for goods from companies around the globe can lead to increased consumer options, economic efficiency cannot be the only consideration. There’s no question, for example, that Chinese goods made with slave labor should have no avenue into American markets.

There is also a fairness issue. If the Chinese are dumping goods on the U.S. market in violation of law and wiping out swaths of U.S. industry in the process, they should be held to account, not given the equivalent of a presidential pardon.

Moreover, if solar panel supply is as big a national security risk as Biden says it is, the last country we should be seeking to partner with for our energy needs is our chief global rival and adversary, China.

The administration is trying to frame these initiatives as a way to address high energy prices and the rising risk of blackouts, but it will do nothing to alleviate those problems. Rather, it will unnecessarily restrict access to reliable energy sources, increase the costs of energy, strain the U.S. electrical grid, and potentially leave our nation more vulnerable to China.

Biden may think his moves make for good liberal politics, but the reality is, he is squeezing American families, fueling price increasesimpoverishing the middle class, and, most ironically, risking our national security.

By refusing to change course on energy policy, he seems intent on burning the village to save it.

3 Reasons America Is Great

Independence Day in 2022 will have great meaning to many Americans.

Jarrett Stepman is a columnist for The Daily Signal. Reproduced with permission.

As we’ve seen many symbols of America’s past get literally smashed by mobs, it’s important for those who still love their country to reflect on why it is exceptional and worth fighting for.

America has always been great and can be greater still.

This is certainly not an exhaustive list of why America is great, of which there are almost countless examples big and small.

But these examples are more unique to America, unique to why America rose from nothing to become the world’s preeminent superpower in such a short amount of time.

1. A Culture of Self-Government

Americans, even before the birth of the United States in 1776, have always been a self-governing people. One of the first orders of business for the Pilgrim settlers when they arrived on the shores of Massachusetts was to create the Mayflower Compact, a basic statement of self-government and loyalty to the British crown.

The Jamestown colony in Virginia set up the House of Burgesses in 1619, the first legislative assembly in the New World.

Following their heritage, the British colonies in America almost immediately established institutions of self-government where community participation in the creation and upholding of laws was extensive.

But in the almost two centuries between the arrival of British colonists in America and the American Revolution, the colonists’ attachment to self-government deepened in comparison to their cousins back in England, where representation was often more symbolic rather than actual.

Amid Parliament’s ultimately foolish attempts to ham-handedly rein in the colonies at the end of the French and Indian War, it was the Crown that triggered the separation, the drive for total independence.

The thought of losing their grip on self-government made the colonists believe that they would soon end up in the vice of absolute tyranny. After years of discontent and pleading with British authorities to loosen their grip of control, the colonies rebelled.

The Declaration of Independence, a remarkable and timeless document, did not just lay out the essential God-given rights of life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness in its most famous lines.

It also lays out the blow by blow steps of the British government and the colonies to establish that it was not just the rights of the colonists that had been violated, but that the very tools of self-government that could have rectified the situation had been arbitrarily stripped from them.

Americans were a people fitted for liberty and would tolerate no less.

2. The Constitution and the Rule of Law

When the Founding Fathers set about creating our own system of government, they codified the principles of self-government to serve countless generations unborn.

After the false start, so to speak, of the Articles of Confederation, the Framers wrote, and the American people ratified, the Constitution of the United States.

This remarkable document created a framework of America’s federal system that lasts still today despite the countless societal changes that have occurred in the last two centuries.

And while, in many ways, that constitutional and federal system has been eroded over time, Americans have remained committed to the idea of the Constitution as the glue that defines our government and binds Americans under a single system with many parts.

This is the cornerstone of liberty and order that defines our republic, ensures that we have an energetic but ultimately limited government.

Certainly, other nations have codified their laws and created founding documents of many stripes, but none matches the enduring legacy of the Constitution of the United States.

The American civilization may be young, but our system of government is quite old, and has excelled through the test of time.

3. The American Dream

Self-government and the Constitution have made America strong and adaptable to changing circumstances. Just as importantly, they’ve created a system whereby the average person can thrive and prosper.

The country’s strength lies in the millions of free-born, self-governing, and self-sufficient people who have taken the protections our unique government provides and created the most wealthy and prosperous nation in human history.

Americans are, and have always been, an enterprising people. But more than just create wealth, we have used our wealth and prosperity.

America’s attachment to the rule of law and defense of private property has allowed the growth of an expansive middle-class.

Yes, America has produced many titans of industry, but the real source of our strength is the fact that the average American has had opportunities to generate wealth and prosperity and create a vibrant civil society.

Many homesteaders went West to get rich, but many more went West to build families and ensure that their children would have a better life than they had.

That’s the spirit of America.

We have used our tremendous resources not only to improve our own lives but the lives of others.

And because of our enormous prosperity Americans remain, by far, the most generous people on Earth.

This Fourth of July, as with every Independence Day, we should be thankful and grateful to be Americans, we should be proud of what our country—though imperfect as all of mankind is imperfect—has accomplished.

It is important and essential that at this time we remember, defend, and pass on what has made this country great.

Google vs GOP Fight Escalates

According to the GOP when they send email on most days as many as 90-100% of RNC emails hit the main inbox of the intended recipient. On critical fundraising dates however, the emails are all but assured to be hidden away as spam, reaching as few as zero percent of Gmail inboxes.

The Republican National Committee is pissed off. Chairwoman Ronna McDaniel has claimed in a statement to Axios that Google has “systematically attacked” its digital program. The RNC claims Google’s Gmail, the nation’s top email client, has been suppressing fundraising emails during strategically critical periods this year.

So, Google and GOP are at odds. According to Axios

Google told Axios its spam filter is thoroughly apolitical, and that it’s taking steps to ensure political messages aren’t inadvertently flagged.

The details: The RNC shared internal data showing regular and dramatic increases in the number of its fundraising and voter-activation emails being sent to Gmail recipients’ spam folder.

  • Ordinarily, the committee said, Gmail flags up to 10% of its emails as spam.
  • But it says during the final four days of every month since December 2021 — a crucial period for digital fundraising operations — that number has skyrocketed to 100% or close to it, even as the rate of emails marked as spam by recipients remains steady.
  • “These are emails that go to our most engaged, opt-in supporters without any increase in user complaints, changes to the content, email frequency or target audiences that could account for the suppression,” McDaniel said.
  • The RNC said it’s flagged the issue for Google, but that the company has not provided a plausible explanation.

Great Cartoon from James Woods Tweet

Out in the real world, away from loony lefties, we all know that the Dobbs decision last week wasn’t really about abortion, it was about enumerated rights as set out in the Constitution and Bill of Rights. And with his concurring opinion Justice Clarence Thomas pointed out that there are other issues that should probably go back to the states (of our republic) for reconsideration on a local scale. Just as envisioned by the Founding Fathers. Other topics in the future might include, Justice Thomas argued, the Court’s past rulings codifying federal rights to contraception access, same-sex relationships and same-sex marriage.

But what’s truly special about this session of SCOTUS is that Justice Thomas did speak. After all, he’s the Supreme Court justice who once went ten full years without asking a single question at oral arguments. Yet in one week he has been behind three major decisions: abortion, second amendment rights, and the Fifth Amendment right to pray.

And who knows, he may prevail today, on the last day of this term, over the West Virginia v. EPA case which could overturn the 2009 carbon endangerment finding that is strangling America’s electricity grid, and the legality of President Trump’s Title 42 “Remain in Mexico” policy.

So thank you, Justice Thomas for holding the line and protecting our Constitution.

Fellow appreciator of the Justice, actor James Wood tweeted the great comment below and we liked it so much we asked talented cartoonist, AF Branco to immortalize it in a toon. Do you like it?

Don’t understand Dobbs? Great explanation at The Daily Signal/Heritage Foundation.

This guy turned the transformer from an old microwave into an amazing tool.

I wouldn’t do it myself and totally recommend you do not try this yourselves, but it’s cool to watch. And who knows, if the SHTF you might need this kind of heat.

The Lost Art of Handmade Rope

Handmade ropes and ropes. Production and braiding with vegetable fibers in 1996

Thanks to three brothers from the Brotherhood of San Pascual Bailón de Calatayud (#Zaragoza), patron saint of the Sogueros, in 1996 we were able to learn about and recover the technique of braiding hemp or other vegetable fibers for manufacturing of rope and string of various sizes.
