EPA Advisor Brent Efron admits it: the EPA is throwing billions at ‘climate justice’ nonprofits to buffer against a Trump presidency—and then cashing in with a cushy post-gov job. The climate hustle just got exposed.
Project Veritas conducted an undercover operation where Brent Efron, an EPA advisor, admitted to employing an “insurance policy” against the potential policies of President-elect Donald Trump. Efron revealed that the EPA is rushing to distribute billions of dollars in grants before Trump’s inauguration, describing the urgency as akin to “throwing gold bars off the Titanic.”
These funds, part of the Inflation Reduction Act, are aimed at supporting climate initiatives. Efron noted that even projects intended for a Kamala Harris administration are being hastily funded. He anticipates that under Trump, immediate actions would be taken to block these grants, prompting the EPA to funnel money to aligned nonprofits as a safeguard for continuing climate policies post-Biden administration.
Efron admitted that the agency’s staff are highly committed, planning to work right up to the inauguration day to allocate as much taxpayer money as possible before the incoming Republican administration could stop the spending. “It’s until the Trump people come in and tell us we can no longer give out money. That’s at the very earliest the 20th [January 2025]. But it’s probably a little bit after because they have to get in the building and tell people what to do,” Efron said.
The EPA has been channeling money to nonprofits that align with their climate change policies, presumably to fund their next jobs following the Trumpian clean out.
