Biden’s pardons look like there was a deal all along….

President Joe Biden has commuted the sentences of nearly 1,500 individuals and issued 39 pardons in a single day, which the White House described as the largest act of “clemency” in a single day in modern U.S. history.

The White House says America is about second chances, (but not for J6 participants, who were overcharged for minor offenses.) The list includes a man who committed a $35 million fraud, and another who was booked into a Las Vegas detention center for battery on a household member.

One of the most controversial pardons was for his son, Hunter Biden, for federal gun and tax charges. This pardon was unique because it was a full, unconditional pardon covering not just the convicted offenses but any federal crimes he might have committed over a decade. This act drew heavy criticism from both sides of the political spectrum for perceived nepotism and hypocrisy, given Biden’s previous statements against such a move. This pardon was seen by critics as setting a dangerous precedent for future executive clemency, particularly in light of Donald Trump’s soon-to-be presidency.

As well as many others, all dressed up as clemency for good behavior, Biden pardoned Vikram Datta who was convicted of laundering millions of dollars for a Mexican drug cartel, Ismael Rolon Ayala who managed a heroin distribution network, Luz Perez DeMartinez who ran a large-scale fentanyl trafficking ring, Hunberto Concepcion-Andrades who led a cocaine smuggling ring through Puerto Rico, and Alex Saab, an international criminal that worked with Iran, China, Venezuela and Rusia to launder money.
