Coordinated by the nonpartisan America250 organization, established by Congress in 2016, and supported by a White House task force, the multi-year commemoration aims to engage all 350 million Americans through education, volunteerism, reflection on history, and forward-looking unity.
The epicenter will be Philadelphia, the birthplace of the nation, with the “Ring It On! One Philly, A United Celebration” initiative featuring neighborhood festivals, public art installations, murals, block parties, and enhanced access to historic sites like Independence Hall.
In Washington, D.C., the National Mall will host massive events on July 4, including parades, concerts, record-breaking fireworks, and cultural showcases.

New York Harbor will feature an International Fleet Review with dozens of ships.
All 50 states and territories have commissions planning local signature events—from Revolutionary War reenactments in South Carolina and Indiana to agriculture-themed “America’s Harvest” in Iowa and twin celebrations in Colorado marking its statehood sesquicentennial.
National programs include museum exhibitions, student contests, a traveling innovation expo, a time capsule burial in Philadelphia, and a push for record volunteer service.
Special 2026 coins with new designs will circulate, and patriotic themes will extend to events like the Rose Parade.

Under the President’s leadership, the Salute to America 250 Task Force (“Task Force 250”) has commenced the planning of a full year of festivities to officially launch on Memorial Day, 2025 and continue through July 4th, 2026.
