96 per cent of US temperature readings are wrong, a study by The Heartland Institute shows. They are set in heat traps at airports or dense urban areas. The false readings are the basis for global warming forecasts. NOAA runs the surface station network. https://t.co/uSz6jwXUcD

The U.S. government recently unveiled the website heat.gov with its vision of achieving “a nation free from heat-related illness and death”– say what now?
A study that investigated the placement of National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) temperature stations found that 96% of the facilities used to measure heat failed to meet the agency’s own “uncorrupted placement” standards.
This is because the stations’ measurements are tainted by the effects of urbanization – or heat produced because of their close proximity to asphalt, machinery, and other heat-producing, heat-trapping, or heat-accentuating objects. These are known as Urban Heat Islands.
The Report says: ‘The term “urban heat island” refers to the fact that cities tend to get much warmer than their surrounding rural landscapes, particularly during the summer. This temperature difference occurs when cities’ unshaded roads and buildings gain heat during the day and radiate that heat into the surrounding air. As a result, highly developed urban areas can experience mid-afternoon temperatures that are 15°F to 20°F warmer than surrounding, vegetated areas.’
What’s way more interesting is how much influence the Sun, currently experiencing a solar minimum phase, is having on the globe. Check out Electroverse.net for everything you need to know. He is banned from most social media platforms but is doing all the heavy lifting on monitoring the earth’s cooling.
