Instead of broadly funding GOP candidates, Musk aims to target a few key races in 2026, leveraging the GOP’s slim congressional majorities.
America Party would pressure GOP incumbents to align with its platform, threatening to run well-funded candidates against them if they refuse. Instead of splitting the vote as is feared, it could put some spine in the GOP with some representatives who are not from the Swamp.
Outcomes favor Musk regardless: compliant incumbents give him influence, America Party wins create pivotal votes, GOP wins drain resources, and Democratic wins increase GOP reliance on Musk’s candidates.
This typically Muskian plot with its high-ROI approach, rooted in precision and leverage, could reshape U.S. politics.
