Suddenly all those old paintings and references to a “shapely calf” in literature make sense. This is how we used to walk – before framed shoes – and it has an amazing effect on your calves and posture. It’s also good for preventing plantar fasciitis (although my doc says never to walk barefoot once you have it.) Walking ball-first is also called a hunter’s gait, or more specifically, a stalker’s gait.
