Sharks feasting on a whale carcass (and attacking the sub that’s filming it)

Much I despise the way they get most their money — on threat of prison from British taxpayers — the BBC is the benchmark for Natural History TV. This classic from Blue Planet II is narrated by David Attenbrough – the nonagenarian who is the BBC’s quintessential voice over. This program will air in early 2018 in America.

Watch this rare footage of Sleeper Sharks, Hagfish and a whole succession of deep sea scavengers feasting on the carcass of a 30 tonne Grey Whale. It shows us how efficient nature is. And how as self-reliant people we can always find a way to make something from what is around us.

And then watch the behind-the-scenes tape when a HUGE six-gilled shark has a go at the submarine.
