Meet the Drumi from Yirego, a compact portable washing machine that can clean around six or seven garments without any need for electricity. Say what?!
The Drumi stands at 22-inches tall and can fit inside the truck of a car. It can hold up to five liters of water, and is operated by its foot pump. Wash, rinse and spin dry up to 4.4lbs of laundry in 5 – 10 min.
According to the company’s website, “With the potential to be made out of 40% recycled material, YiREGO’s foot-powered washer and spin-dryer creates a sustainable solution with low environmental impact, saving you time, energy, and money. It is not only more hygienic than public laundromats, but also a fraction of the time.”
It is however, pretty pricey at $334.00 on sale. But if you’re off the grid, in a tiny apartment or live a nomadic life it might tick a box for you.
