NYC has released a video instructing New Yorkers what to do if the city comes under nuclear attack. The agency says there is no known threat and the PSA is not directly related to Russia’s invasion of Ukraine.
The goal of the campaign is to inform the public on ways to stay safe if nuclear weapons were pointed in New York’s direction, a department spokesperson told Reuters.
“There is no direct threat to the city but we felt it was important that we addressed this topic,” said Allison Pennisi, head of public information for NYC Emergency Management.
So let’s recap. After a nuclear attack we should stay inside, watch the media (because TV and the internet will still work fine, WTF? ) and wait for our leaders (who caused the nuclear attack in the first place) to tell us what to do? My guess is they already helicoptered out to Klauss Schwab’s eerie in the Alps. And if they’re still there they’ll be as useless as they were in Katriana. My faith is in Home Depot and WalMart.
This waste of time and money came at a time when New York authorities are being lambasted for their covid response, the rising crime rate, the crumbling infrastructure, and the corruption of its politicians. What an amazing coincidence!
