Turning Cactus into Leather – A Green Venture we can get behind!

These guys had both worked with animal leather, in the auto and fashion industries. What they were looking for was an alternative that wasn’t plastic, didn’t have too many chemicals, was sustainable, didn’t use a lot of water, and priced to take on the animal leather market.

They came up with a cactus-based product which looks excellent – although it won’t be a family heirloom as it biodegrades over the years. What do you think? I’m a fan for the water conservation alone.
