Everything Treasury does is calculated to improve the competitive posture of America’s adversaries. Watch as Biden Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen spouts the WEF line on climate and fossil fuels: “Under Biden’s plan, we will “rid ourselves” of oil and gas.” She continued: “experts have estimated that the Inflation Reduction Act will put the U.S. on a path to cut emissions by about 40% within eight years, compared with 2005 levels.”
“It will put us well on our way toward a future where we depend on the wind, sun and other clean sources for our energy,” … “We will rid ourselves from our current dependence on fossil fuels and the whims of autocrats like Putin,” she said, referring to the Russian president.
The speech is an attempt to reframe the Biden administration’s push to cut emissions from fossil fuels, which has come under fire from Republicans, partly because of Russia’s invasion of Ukraine but mostly because the Administration shut down all domestic production and the Keystone Pipeline. Biden and Yellen backwardly argue that the spike in energy prices represents more reason to move away from fossil fuels.
YELLEN: Under Biden's plan, we will “rid ourselves” of oil and gas.
