Ousted international leader blames Deep State.

Liz Truss has taken aim at a surprise target as she once again accused the “deep state” of scuppering her time as prime minister of the United Kingdom.

The short-lived (40 days) PM was among the headline speakers at last week’s Conservative Political Action Conference at the National Harbor in Maryland. CPAC is billed as the biggest annual gathering of conservatives in the US and regularly invites overseas leaders.

Truss was hailed as a new “Margaret Thatcher” by CPAC panel moderator KT McFarland, former president Donald Trump’s former deputy national security adviser.

Singling out “trans activists” and “environmental extremists”, Truss argued problematic individuals were filling the ranks of the civil service.

Truss said: “What has happened in Britain over the past 30 years, is power that used to be in the hands of politicians has been moved to quangos (administrative bodies outside the civil service that receive funding from the government) and bureaucrats and lawyers. So what you find is you find a democratically elected government actually unable to enact policies”.

In this interview with Steve Bannon, Truss blamed the “deep state” for triggering the economic chaos which followed her infamous mini-budget.
