Democratic Caucus votes against measure to protect police

In a significant move during National Police Week, the House of Representatives passed a bill on Wednesday evening that targets the removal of illegal immigrants from the U.S. if they are found guilty of assaulting a police officer. This was despite a massive number of Democrats voting NOT to expel these criminals.

This legislation is among several others being voted on this week by House Republican leaders. The bill garnered bipartisan support, with a final vote of 265 to 148, including 54 Democrats who voted alongside the GOP but a shocking 148 who voted against the measure.
