What happened to Meta and what did they do with Zuckerberg?

And he broke the news on FOX News of all places!

A couple of weeks ago, Mark Zuckerberg headed to Mar-a-Lago for a dinner with President-elect Trump. Today this happened. He has pivoted, big time, from his draconian censorship and kowtowing to the Biden regime to a more open forum, criticism of Europe and South America and several respectful references to President Trump.

Zuckerberg announced that Meta Platforms will discontinue its third-party fact-checking program on its social media platforms, including Facebook and Instagram, to restore “free expression.” Instead, Meta will implement a community-driven “Community Notes” system similar to that used by X, where users can add context or corrections to posts. This shift aims to simplify content policies, reduce what Zuckerberg describes as “too many mistakes” and “too much censorship,” particularly in the U.S., where he feels the recent elections signaled a cultural shift towards prioritizing free speech.

The move is part of broader changes including lifting restrictions on topics like immigration and gender, focusing enforcement on severe violations like terrorism and child exploitation, and moving content moderation teams to Texas (away from liberal enclaves) to address perceived biases.
