Toddler Triumphs Over Twin Rattlesnake Bites!

A 15-month-old Arizona girl, Cara Reed, survived a rattlesnake attack after being bitten twice on her foot while playing in her family’s carport in Florence, Arizona. Her mother, Jacquelyn Reed, a nurse, quickly identified the diamondback rattlesnake and rushed Cara to the hospital, calling ahead to ensure antivenom was ready. Cara required 30 vials of antivenom and was airlifted to Phoenix Children’s Hospital, where she was intubated due to severe swelling and low oxygen levels.

The toddler spent six days in the hospital, facing medical bills over $200,000. Despite slow recovery and concerns about long-term effects, Cara is now home, regaining feeling in her foot.

The family is raising funds to cover costs and taking steps to remove snakes from their property. https://www.gofundme.com/f/donate-to-caras-recovery
