Israel kicks Iran’s a$$ – a timeline of developments

2025 Timeline: Israel’s Attack on Iran and Related Developments

January–March 2025: Tensions escalate as Iran and the United States engage in indirect nuclear talks mediated by Oman. Iran insists on maintaining uranium enrichment, rejecting U.S. demands for zero enrichment. Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei calls U.S. proposals “excessive and outrageous,” signaling defiance.

April 2025: U.S. intelligence reports Israel preparing potential strikes on Iran’s nuclear facilities, including Natanz, amid stalled talks. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu considers military action but is dissuaded by U.S. President Donald Trump, who favors diplomacy. The International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) notes Iran’s enrichment at 60% purity, close to weapons-grade.

May 2025: Reports intensify of Israeli military preparations, including air exercises and munitions movements. Khamenei reiterates Iran’s right to enrich uranium, dismissing U.S. demands as “arrogant.” Iran warns it will view the U.S. as a participant in any Israeli attack.

June 4, 2025: Khamenei, in a speech commemorating Ayatollah Khomeini’s death, rejects a U.S. nuclear deal proposal as “nonsense,” emphasizing Iran’s sovereignty and right to a nuclear program. He accuses the U.S. of interfering in Iran’s affairs, stating, “Who are you to tell us whether we should have nuclear program?” Iran announces plans for a third enrichment facility.

June 12, 2025: The IAEA declares Iran non-compliant with nuclear obligations, citing its stockpile of 400kg of highly enriched uranium. Iran responds by launching a new enrichment site. U.S. and Iranian negotiators plan a sixth round of talks in Oman on June 15. Israel signals readiness to strike, citing Iran’s nuclear advancements.

June 13, 2025: Israel launches “Operation Rising Lion,” a large-scale attack on Iran, targeting nuclear facilities, military sites, and residences of senior officials. Over 200 Israeli fighter jets strike more than 100 targets, including the Natanz uranium enrichment facility, causing significant damage to its electrical substation and above-ground centrifuge plant. The IAEA confirms no elevated radiation levels at Natanz and no attacks on Fordow, Isfahan, or Bushehr sites. Iran reports “no casualties” at Natanz’s underground centrifuge facility.

The strikes kill key Iranian figures, including General Hossein Salami, commander of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC); General Amir Ali Hajizadeh, head of the IRGC’s air force; Mohammad Bagheri, chief of staff of Iran’s armed forces; Gholamali Rashid, deputy commander; and Ali Shamkhani, a senior adviser to Khamenei. Several nuclear scientists are also killed. Iran appoints Mohammad Pakpour as the new IRGC chief.

Iran retaliates by launching over 100 drones toward Israel, intercepted by Israeli defenses. Khamenei vows “severe punishment,” calling the attack a “crime.” Airspaces in Iran, Israel, Iraq, Jordan, and Syria close, disrupting regional flights.

June 14–30, 2025: Israel prepares for a prolonged operation, mobilizing tens of thousands of soldiers. Iran signals further retaliation, but no additional major attacks are reported by June 30. Talks in Oman are postponed as tensions remain high.

It’s time for the Iranians to rise up and end this monstrous regime
