IT’S THE SUN, STUPID is a short and funny movie by Willie Soon, PhD. Dr. Willie Wei-Hock Soon, born September 30, 1965, is a Malaysian astrophysicist and geoscientist based in Cambridge, Massachusetts. He serves as a visiting scientist at the Institute of Earth Physics and Space Science in Hungary and a principal at the Center for Environmental Research and Earth Sciences (CERES).
Dr. Soon’s research focuses on solar and stellar physics, orbital dynamics, and the sun’s influence on Earth’s climate. He has authored over 90 scientific articles and books, including The Maunder Minimum and the Variable Sun-Earth Connection (2004).
