Liberal judges are increasingly likely to sentence in accordance with their progressive beliefs. Last week we covered the spiteful 80-year old Judge Kollar-Kotelly who sentenced a sick senior to two years in jail for praying outside an abortion clinic.

U.S. Senator JD Vance Wednesday called for a judge Brian Hagan’s resignation over his handling of Bionca Ellis days before she allegedly murdered a toddler.

Ellis, 33, was charged on multiple counts, including aggravated murder, in the stabbing death of 3-year-old Julian Wood. She smirked throughout the proceedings. She remains in jail on a $5 million bond and could receive the death penalty if convicted.

Judge Hagan has not only defended his decision to release Ellis following her first court appearance when she became unreachable, but doubled down and said he wouldn’t do anything differently. He believed it would be unfair to incarcerate Ellis while mental heath evaluations had not yet been conducted.

‘There wasn’t any red flags shooting up that pole,’ Hagan said, explaining that there were ‘no signs of mental distress, no signs of previous, violent acts.’ Except that whole “seemingly became unresponsive at a hearing following her arrest for a parole violation”.
