Russia summoned the U.S. ambassador and vowed retaliation yesterday after blaming Washington for a deadly strike on a strategic port in occupied Crimea, claiming U.S.-supplied missiles were used in the attack.
The strike left at least four people dead and more than 150 injured in one of the biggest attacks on the Russian-annexed peninsula in recent months.
Russia’s Defense Ministry said four U.S.-provided Army Tactical Missile System (ATACMS) rockets, were intercepted over the city of Sevastopol, but fragments from the fifth rocket led to “numerous casualties among civilians” on the ground. More at NBC News
At least five people were killed and over 100 injured when missile fragments scattered over beachgoers during the strike on the city of Sevastopol in Russia-occupied Crimea, authorities say.
“Unfortunately, we currently have 124 victims, of which three [are] dead children and two [are] dead adults,” Sevastopol Governor Mikhail Razvozhayev said on Telegram. More here.
Russian MOD has placed the blame for the ATAMCS strike against Crimea on the U.S. for providing both the system and the targeting data.

The US Air Force directed the ATACMS missile strike against Russian civilians today. This is an act of war by the US Govt against Russia. Did Joe Biden seek permission from Congress to start a direct war with Russia? Did Americans sign up for this? pic.twitter.com/9E9uz5ByjK
