More air assets deployed to Middle East in advance of election

At the beginning of October, the U.S. Department of Defense announced that it is further reinforcing the Middle East defense posture by deploying three additional U.S. Air Force squadrons and ordering the USS Abraham Lincoln carrier strike group to remain in the U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) area of operations.
