On January 14, 2025, Alex Jones aired the recording below* that belonged to the grandson of Billie Sol Estes. In the tape, Estes, known for being Lyndon B. Johnson’s (LBJ) primary source of financial kickbacks, and Cliff Carter, discuss LBJ’s involvement in the assassination of John F. Kennedy (JFK). This revelation is groundbreaking as it offers new evidence in this long-debated case.
Cliff Carter, who passed away in 1971, was an aide to LBJ. Over the weekend of the JFK assassination, Carter reportedly pressured Dallas County District Attorney Henry Wade, who had previously worked for both LBJ and J. Edgar Hoover, to promote the narrative that a “lone nut killed JFK” and to dismiss any notion of a conspiracy.

*Remember, the authenticity of such tapes is often in doubt. Without forensic audio analysis or corroborating evidence, many will treat this as another piece of speculative evidence. Critics might argue that the tape could be a fabrication or misinterpretation, especially since it involves audio from a time when recording technology was less secure and more susceptible to tampering.
Want to look in a little more depth? This review of conspiracy theories is everything a tin-foil hat wearer could want – and it begins with the JFK assassination.
This is an amazing (crazy) documentary. Is it too out there? Does it get it right? It’s certainly challenging! There are a lot of bonkers ideas, but he does make it hang together. Warning it’s long – but you don’t really have to watch it – you could listen on a longish drive.
