Raw Honesty from National Conservative Voice in Media Snake Pit

Scott Jennings (born 1977) is a prominent conservative political strategist, CNN Senior Political Contributor, and writer. A Kentucky native and founding partner of RunSwitch PR, he served as Special Assistant to President George W. Bush under Karl Rove and advised multiple presidential campaigns and Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell. Known for his sharp, data-driven commentary and columns in USA Today and the LA Times, Jennings is a leading conservative voice on national television. You have probably seen him on your screen at some point, battling leftist harridans and beta males with TDS.

Well now he is worried. He spoke with raw honesty on CNN following the shocking assassination attempt at the White House Correspondents’ Dinner this weekend, where a gunman tried to storm the ballroom targeting President Trump and others — leaving a Secret Service agent wounded but alive.

Visibly concerned, Jennings admitted that many conservatives now feel genuinely “on edge” and “under attack” after years of violence: the Butler shooting, Charlie Kirk’s killing, and repeated plots against figures like Steve Scalise and Brett Kavanaugh. He expressed genuine admiration for Trump’s unflappable calm and steady leadership in the moment, calling it remarkable under such pressure.

At the same time, Jennings passionately called out fellow panelists and the broader media for downplaying the threat, normalizing toxic rhetoric that paints Trump as a “Nazi” or “fascist,” and questioned whether the coverage would have been more urgent if the target had been a prominent Democrat — all while highlighting how the suspect seemed steeped in standard left-wing talking points.

He also got angry

“We have a serious left-wing violence problem in America, and it’s about time we call it by its name!” “After three attempts on Trump, the attacks on Charlie Kirk, Kavanaugh’s house, the shooting at Scalise, and an endless list… I wake up every damn morning with a knot in my stomach wondering: who’s going to be next?” “There was even a conspiracy to assassinate Russ Vought, director of the Office of Management and Budget! How far do they have to go?” “Conservatives are on the brink of a nervous breakdown for good reason. This doesn’t stop. Over and over. Meanwhile, the left keeps calling Trump a Nazi, fascist, Hitler… repeating blatant lies about Epstein and everything else they can dream up. Enough already!” “I’m telling you as a conservative who lives this every day: my friend was murdered last year. My president survived three assassination attempts. And the left keeps pretending the problem of political violence comes from the right. Lies. The violence is theirs. The hate is theirs. And the complicit silence of the media is theirs too.”

“I worry about [President Trump] every day. And I worry about these events… think about it. The president, vice president, most of the line of succession was in the same room and somebody was able to get that close. It’s scary, frankly.”
