Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent spent late August 2026 doing what hedge-fund veterans do when they smell weakness: he went for the throat. No press-release courtesy. No “respectful disagreement.” Just public evisceration of Elizabeth Warren, Canada, and the Iranian regime’s stolen cash.
In her latest sciolistic letter to me, @SenWarren made it clear that she knows even less about foreign exchange markets than she does about banking.

What is equally shocking, but not surprising: not a single member of the media mob has a rudimentary-enough level of financial… pic.twitter.com/0mmp2tapqJ
Warren sent an August 13 letter treating the yen intervention like a taxpayer-backed loan Japan might stiff. Bessent waited, then dropped the letter on August 27–28. He called it “sciolistic.” He told her she knows even less about foreign exchange than she does about banking—an already low bar. Treasury swapped existing ESF euros for yen. No appropriation. No credit. Japan owes nothing. Her opening paragraph was wrong on the money, the transaction, and whether a borrower even existed. He offered her staff “Foreign Exchange for Dummies” and noted that the entire media mob lacked the literacy to catch a remedial error. Warren tried to clap back about his “tough couple weeks.” He did not acknowledge the attempt. He just left the corpse of her letter on the table.

Two days later, at the G20 in Asheville, he turned on Canada. After talks collapsed and tariffs flew, Mark Carney tried to play statesman in a shouting match. Bessent called it political theater for Carney’s poll numbers. The U.S. economy is thirteen times larger. There is no tit-for-tat. Then the line that will live: “How are we going to be at war with Canada? What, are they going to take their two submarines from the Edmonton Mall and sic them on us?” He said it on live television. Canada’s retaliatory tariffs looked like a mid-sized economy punching a heavyweight and then demanding respect. Bessent gave none.
Blahahahah. Bessent just b**** slapped Canada

The same week he kept tightening the noose on Iranian assets. Operation Economic Outcast launched August 24: networks mapped, 60-plus entities and vessels sanctioned, sectoral hits on crypto, gold, shipping, aviation. At the G20 he made it personal. The regime’s money is not hidden. Accounts sit in BVI trusts. $100-million houses sit in London, Dubai, Europe. “We know where your accounts are. We know your $100 million-plus homes. We are going to close all that down.” Stolen from the Iranian people. Preserved for them and for terror victims. After 47 years, he said, it is over. No more polite fiction that the supreme leader’s proxies get to keep the loot.
Beast Bessent says he’s going to ECONOMICALLY ASPHYXIATE the regime in Iran and all those financially assisting them.

Bessent did not debate. He graded the homework, marked it wrong in red ink, and posted the score. Warren looked unprepared. Canada looked small. The Iranian elite looked exposed. That is the job he signed up for. Last week he did it without apology.
