While 1000s pour over border unchecked, police cite James Bond actor for Yellowstone trespass

Just where are the priorities these days? Sure, Piers Brosnan shouldn’t have wandered off into the thermal area of Yellowstone but jail time? When the unimaginable damage at the Mexico border goes unmentioned?

The thermal areas within the park include five types of hydrothermal features, including hot springs, geysers, mudpots, travertine terraces and fumaroles, says Yellowstone National Park’s official site.

Brosnan was in Wyoming in October to film Uhe Unholy Trinity. The Western is mostly being filmed at the Yellowstone Film Ranch in Paradise Valley, reports The Livingston Enterprise.

Former James Bond actor Pierce Brosnan could face possible jail time after he allegedly walked into Yellowstone National Park’s restricted hydrothermal areas, according to newly unsealed court documents.

A criminal docket filed in the U.S. District Court in Wyoming on Tuesday shows that the “GoldenEye” star received citations for traveling by foot “in all thermal areas and … in Yellowstone Canyon confined to trails” and for also “violating closures and use limits” on Nov. 1, according to multiple news reports. Both citations were listed as petty offenses, and he’s been ordered to appear at the Yellowstone Justice Center next month.

Brosnan is accused of allegedly leaving the boardwalk area to enter restricted grounds, according to the charging documents.

In 2016, Colin and Sable Scott, a brother and sister from Oregon, left the authorized area and walked around the Norris Geyser Basin in Wyoming to find a thermal pool to take a dip in. While Colin was leaning down to check the temperature in one hole, he slipped and fell into it.

“In a very short order, there was a significant amount of dissolving,” said Lorant Veress, a Yellowstone deputy chief ranger.
