Hasan Piker (born Hasan Doğan Piker, July 25, 1991, New Brunswick, New Jersey) is a Turkish-American Twitch streamer and socialist influencer. He is a birthright U.S. citizen—what critics call an “anchor baby”—born to Turkish immigrant parents; he spent much of his childhood in Istanbul before returning to the United States for college at Rutgers. 

His uncle is Cenk Uygur, founder of The Young Turks. Piker started his media career there as a producer and on-air figure before launching the HasanAbi Twitch channel, which turned him into one of the highest-earning political streamers. 

His public posture is open contempt for the United States. He has repeatedly stated he has “no love” for the country, frames it as an imperialist force that deserves blowback, and treats its decline as desirable. His ambitions are not reformist: he seeks to leverage his massive online audience to accelerate the replacement of American capitalism and national identity with socialist transformation, mass demographic change, and solidarity with regimes and movements hostile to the U.S. He lives luxuriously off the system he denounces while broadcasting its hoped-for defeat.
